HIGH HEADROOM VIDEO DISTRIBUTION AMPLIFIERS The DA-550 series is designed with the highest headroom available in a distribution amplifier. Traditional panels are not designed to handle the radical variations in signal strengths that have come about with HDTV. New technologies, such as HDTV, create special problems for current video distribution panels. The DA-550s can handle an extremely wide range of input signals from today’s NTSC and tomorrow’s digital TV. The DA-550 is the heart of a multi-room distribution system with outputs to eight televisions, coax runs up to 150 feet, three inputs, one from a CATV or antenna and two from modulators.

BID AND HHR MODELS The DA-550BID offers a 5-42 MHz return path for bi-directional communication for use with digital cable interactive set-top boxes. The DA-550HHR is used with high performance antenna applications for off-air digital and NTSC signals.

REMOTE OR LOCAL POWER If power is not available at the installation, the DA-550 may be remotely powered from the media center using wall plate model 2010 or a DA-550 or SVM series modulator.

INFRARED REMOTE CONTROL The model DA-550 is equipped with a 12-volt IR engine for bi-directional IR that allows any infrared controllable video product (DVD, satellite) to be operated from any of the eight television locations using 2100A wall plates and other 2100 series IR components. IR control signals can be sent to additional DA-550 units by using the model 2181 IR expander.

EXPANDABLE TV OUTPUTS
The DA-550 series is expandable up to 64 TV outputs with the addition of up to eight DA-550s. Each additional DA-550 can accept it’s own modulators for increased flexibility.
